The prison conference is being deferred until March 2009 so that we can incorporate the implications of delivering the national strategy "Improving Health Supporting Justice.

The Prison Health Innovation Network (PHIN) is part of the Centre for Public Innovation and has been established to support people who work, or have an interest, in offender healthcare.
Carole Lawrence-Parr is leading the Prison Health Innovation Network. Carole is currently the Director of Strategic Development for Dorset Primary Care Trust with lead responsibility for the delivery of the prison healthcare agenda. In 2004 Carole was awarded the Public Health Innovation Award for her work with prisons and visited New York to study prison healthcare in the United States of America. In 2005 the prison healthcare team were runners up in the Dorset and Somerset NHS Awards for partnership working, and in 2006 were runners up in the Health Services Journal Awards, and winners of the Dorset and Somerset NHS Awards for their work in developing the Quality and Outcomes Framework in prisons. Carole is also the Associate Director of the Centre for Public Innovation (Prison Health).
